1. About These Terms

selfcapsule.com (the "Site") is operated by Self Capsule Pty Ltd (ABN 34 696 418 970), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia. By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Website Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Website Terms cover your interaction with the Site itself: browsing pages, reading the blog, downloading an installer, signing up for a newsletter, or completing a purchase. They do not replace the per-product Terms of Use that you accept on first launch of each app.

2. Per-Product Terms

Each SelfCapsule product has its own Terms of Use:

When you install and use a product, the relevant product Terms of Use control your use of that product. These Website Terms continue to govern your use of the Site.

3. Privacy and Cookies

Our handling of personal information, cookies, and conversion-tracking data is described in a single company-wide Privacy Policy. That document covers both Site visits and use of our apps.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including the SelfCapsule name and wordmark, the Caps mascot, the Cipher hero artwork, product logos, marketing copy, photographs, videos, illustrations, and the visual design of the Site, is owned by Self Capsule Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright and trade-mark law.

You may view and share links to public pages on the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, redistribute, or use any Site content for commercial purposes, machine-learning training, or to create derivative works, without our prior written permission. The Caps mascot and Cipher hero artwork are shared assets across all SelfCapsule products and may not be used outside SelfCapsule contexts.

5. Downloads

Installers for our desktop apps are distributed via downloads.selfcapsule.com. You may download an installer for your personal use on devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, repackage, mirror, or host installers on other servers without our written permission. Installers are signed; running an unsigned or modified installer is at your own risk and is not supported.

6. Purchases

Purchases made via the Site are processed by our payment provider, Polar. Their terms govern the transaction itself, including refund handling and chargebacks. License terms (perpetual rights, activation limits, refund window) are described in the relevant product Terms of Use.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or its infrastructure; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or related networks; interfere with or disrupt the Site or any user's use of the Site; scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect content from the Site for commercial use, machine-learning training, or large-scale republication; or use the Site in any way that violates Australian or applicable foreign law.

8. Disclaimer and Liability

The Site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantee that the Site will be available without interruption, free from errors, or free from malicious code. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Self Capsule Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Website Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Website Terms from time to time. The effective date and version number above will reflect any update. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
